When Runway Comes To The Reality

My Favorites of 2010 Menswear Street Style!
A sharply tailored dandy carrying along, what else? a schoolboy satchel.
Photobucket
I love the brown leather belt and how the way he paired it with the olives coat.
Photobucket
It takes someone with great personal style to make a piece unrecognizably his own. You'd never know
that this broad shoulderedleather jacket is from Zegna, only someone with an eye like Vogue Hommes'
Francesco Cominelli could wear it in his own unique way.
Photobucket
From the runway and straight to reality. Tucking the pants into the athletic socks and paired with brogue boots.
Photobucket
Great layers!
Photobucket
L'Uomo Vogue fashion editor Robert Rabensteiner is a man of true individual style, the guy just knows how to own it.
Here he is, wearing a Tyrolean hat that only he could pull off without looking too costumey.
Photobucket
The simple detail just stand out, like the way this guy cinched his three quarter length coat.
Photobucket
Double breasted look.
Photobucket
Love how he match the blue denim with the Dior Homme boots.
Photobucket
The season of the army parka.
Photobucket
It's amazing how he mixed a dresser pants with the athletic sneakers.

Fall 2010 Menswear Reports- Paris

Here is another very interesting collection from Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy.
Can you see that albino dude from The Da Vinci Code (or should we say, The Givenchy Code)
wearing these garments? Slim suits in priestly black, shirts in white, monk sandals re-done in patent
leather that can be worn with a gold crownof thorns necklace, as well as spandex tights and skirt shorts
that are perfect for concealing a cincture.

Fall 2010 Menswear Reports- Paris

Hi friends!
How was your weekend? Did you have a good time with your friends or family?
I had so much fun party with all the ladies at a beach house on the weekend
Thanks for all my friends and especially Sarah for invited us.

Now, let's see what I've got from Paris Menswear fashion week.
If Burberry Prorsum is myfavorite collection of Milan fashion week,  Louis Vuitton has to be my
favorite of all the Pairs shows! Louis Vuitton has no daring design statements this season. Instead,
a tight collection of plush tweeds, down vests, refined leather coats, simple wool trousers, and rubber
soled military boots,  all anchored in a palette of black, gray, and espresso. Designers Marc Jacobs and
Paul Helbers simply created the most luxurious gentleman looks for this collection.

And boys, tell me how much you want these!

Refined Style

Just found this amazing work of photographer Steven Meisel on Vogue Italy August issue 2009.
While the theme of the issue is Refined Style, Linda Evangelista appears in the main editorial titled Urban Decay...

Fall 2010 Menswear Reports- Milan

After Gianfranco Ferré passed away 4 years later. Aquilano and Rimondi, the latest
designers to bear his mantle, they kept the master tailor'sarchitectural vision with
sculptural suiting, strong silhouettes, and wild knits. Come to the styling,
the Gianfranco Ferré man today has looked so much more flashy then the old Ferré man.
Pairs Fall 2010 Menswear fashion week has started today, more reports are coming up soon...

Fashion and Art

Here are some old videos that I have to share with everyone again!
Alexander McQueen and Gareth Pugh are both my favorites designers, actually call them " artist"
should be a lot more suitable. They both are genius not only in the fashion industry also in the world of
performance art and contemporary art. These videos arecompletely showed us of their master creations
and also how the fashion has always been connected with art.

Fall 2010 Menswear Reports- Milan

This season designer Frida Giannini bought a whole fresh modern look to her Gucci man. The
collection centers around a worldly man,the man who has confidence to break the traditions in the way
he plays the colours of suits and pairs sportswear with formal jackets. Designer Frida used the classical
fabrics mixed with modern styling,a new slim pants is cropped to the sockless ankle and worn with
oversized coats. It's just sophisticate and super elegant!

Fall 2010 Menswear Reports- Milan

Burberry Prorsum, my favorite menswear collection of Fall 2010!
Does this remind you of Russian military uniforms from World War II ?
If I was a boy I would definitely wear all the Burberry jackets from this season.

More Menswear reports and trends of Fall 2010 will come up on C.Y.O.A soon...

Magazine Work

This is one of my magazine work that came out last year in July.
It's an article about fashion and shopping in Milan and It's beenpublished in China. When the magazine
came out, I was already back in Australia, so I haven'tactually seen it yet. Here are some pictures that
my dad took from it and sent to me a while ago. Unfortunately they are all in Chinese.I really wish my
English writing skills could be a lot better, then I can actually write the article in English for you all to
read. But, I have been trying to practice my writing skills on the blog everyday so I might be able to do
it one day soon.

Where will a journey take you?

At its soul, Louis Vuitton has always been about travel, both in its real and emotional sense.
The Journeys Core Values film and Wong Kar Wai's interpretation Blueberry Days sought to capture this.

What is a journey?
A journey is not a trip.
It's not a vacation.
It's a process. A discovery.
It's a process of self- discovery.
A journeys brings us face to face with ourselves.
A journey shows us not only the world,
but how we fit in it. or does the journey create the person?
The journey is life itself. Where will life take you?

Pre-Fall 2010 Givenchy

Riccardo Tisci's pre fall collection is really cool. He bought back Givenchy to late 60's and early 70's
french style, but also didn't loose Riccardo's architecture simple and very clean cut.

How to Steal a Million

I had so much fun watching "How to Steal a Million" again at the other day.
Audrey Hepburn is such a legend, she was looking so amazing in every single outfit designed by Huber de Givenchy
in the movie. As every know that Audrey and Givenchy had very long friendly relationship until she passed away.
The style they created together has always been the most inspired inspiration for all other designers today.
